The ER Renovation Project at the Memphis VA was an extensive project that included interior, exterior, and site renovations. This project included nurse stations, patient exam rooms, new entrances, vestibules, pedestrian canopies, and all other associated items with adding new entrances to the hospital. Structural precast concrete columns and beams were erected and surrounded by insulated metal panels to create an elaborate covered entrance to the ER. Automatic sliding doors and access control throughout the area provided touchless access. All medical gasses and headwalls were installed in patient rooms as well as patient lifts, curtains, and new windows. A large louvered screen wall was added at the existing entrance and new structural steel canopies with roofing and decorative metal panels were installed. A new parking lot, sidewalks, signage, landscape, underground drainage, slopes, and sitework were all part of this project to provide a complete interior and exterior renovation.
